Premiums Reduced an Average of 18 Percent For Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan Subscribers

Effective August 1, 2011, the federal government approved the California PCIP to reduce premiums for subscribers.
The premium reductions range from 8.2 percent to 24.3 percent, depending on subscriber age and geographic region. This was announced today by The Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB), News From MRMIB.
The new premiums take effect October 1, 2011, but subscribers who were enrolled in August or September will receive credits on future invoices or refunds, depending on whether they are still enrolled.
